Ingredients

- •2 cups whole milk
- •4 teaspoons loose black tea (or 4 tea bags)
- •4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- •4 cardamom pods, crushed
- •1 small piece ginger, crushed
- •1 cinnamon stick

Add water, crushed cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon to a pot.

Bring to a boil and let simmer for 2 minutes to infuse the spices.

Add tea leaves and sugar. Stir and simmer for another 2 minutes.

Pour in the milk and bring to a boil, watching carefully to prevent overflow.

Reduce heat and let simmer for 3-4 minutes until the chai turns a rich brown color.
